 Our lake harbors a vast number of Lake Trout and on any given day, your electronics screen can be covered with fish. Each season fishermen catch and release trophies in the 15 to 30 pound class and occasionally, fish up to 43 pounds. Unlike Pike, with Big Trout, the bigger the lure, the bigger the fish has never been more true than at Our Lake. Our big golden Lakers will and do challenge the best equipment and quite frankly, there is no better sound than the singing of a drag releasing line. Their strength is incredible and similar to reeling in a halibut off the ocean floor and then even a strong rod and an absolute knot have been known to fail. But patience and determination do pay off and the opportunity to land a trophy is excellent! The challenge starts here!!
WHAT: 6 Day / 5 Days of Fishing
WHERE: Northern Saskatchewan
WHEN: Between June 16th to September 13th. The best time is during spawning, which starts approximately September 1st.
SCHEDULE: Fly into Winnipeg International Airport. Stay overnight in Winnipeg. (Hotels & Restaurants information available) Depart Winnipeg around 6:15 a.m. on a comfortable Convair 580 turbo prop as your journey 800 miles north to the Territories, where you will board a float plane for the final leg of your trip. Around 9:30 AM as the float plane circles, the moment you have longed for, waited for months, possibly years..........has arrived. Day one in a very special hideaway, located 125 miles north of the last road in Saskatchewan and truly remote!
