One of the oldest lakes in Mexico, Lake Comedero is a located 100 miles northeast of the seaside resort of Mazatlan. Because of its remoteness, compared to Lake El Salto, it receives less fishing pressure. If you want a true “fishing trip,” this is the lake to fish.
Lake Comedero is a beautiful mountain lake nestled in the Sierra Madre Mountains. Its clear cool waters produce large numbers of 8-12 pound bass, with some ranging from 12-15 pounds. This catch-and-release lake averages 40-60 bass per day per boat, while most of the 10+ pound hogs are caught from January through April. |
